JoreyPL: 50,621 (Currently at 12,655)Super Heavy Weights in usePre-Workout Mix in use (1)Current Location: Tropical Islands off South City Current Timeframe: Midday "What the hell is this!?"
Jorey strutted onto the scene, his arms up in visible confusion and outrage. What could possibly be setting him off at this time of the day? It was nothing too serious, just the fact that the Earthlings were having a cruise, which would interfere with his underwater training. Well, it wasn't entirely underwater. Jorey would take his time, training both under the water and above it, to act as added weight training on top of the super heavy weights he had on his body now. By this point in time, he was very much used to the weights. He couldn't possibly access his full power with the weights on, but felt like they weren't there. He could only imagine how strong or fast he'd be when he took them off. He was excited for it, but wanted to wait for the right moment for that. He wanted it to be a surprise for himself, as well. The outraged Saiyan dropped his hands and put them on his hips, shaking his head in disappointment. "Of course, the Earthlings would wanna have a cruise near the islands I'm staying on. I won't be able to train without attracting attention to myself. Hell, I might even end up hurting 'em. Just when I decided to get some better training in."
The Saiyan shook his head once more and turned back around, walking back from the shore of the island he was on. It was then that another sight caught his eye: the island he was on right now was beaten and battered from his training. The realization hit him like a truck, and he stood there stunned, just taking it all in. "Ah, right. Forgot I did that shit."
Jorey would look back towards the cruise and the other islands behind him, surveying them for a nice place to relocate. It was about time he relocated and let this island heal from his training. Whether it was small or large, Jorey would be more than fine with staying on any island. He just enjoyed the environment and atmosphere of the islands off of South City too much. Again, Jorey didn't have any belongings. All he had was his training gear and himself. It was great for whenever he had to move suddenly, but not great for boredom purposes. He could go back into the mainland, but that wasn't something he wanted to do right now. Isolation seemed to be amusing as it is, and there was no telling if he'd encounter Liari again before he was ready for a rematch. There was also the situation with Dyve not being able to find him again, but he knew it wouldn't come to that. He knew her scouter could very easily pick up his power level nearby the island he was originally at. All she had to do was look around a bit. With that, Jorey wouldn't hold back anymore or wait any longer. The Saiyan sprinted full speed ahead into the water, running on the surface a bit before letting himself fall through and plunge underwater. He would shoot himself under the cruise way ahead of him, reemerging on the other side and shooting upward out of the water, too fast for any normal human to really recognize. The lone wolf had his arms crossed, smirking as he distanced himself from the giant boat. He redirected his attention, turning himself completely, and actually looking where he was flying now. From island to island, Jorey zipped through them, seeing which islands had people or other wildlife living there, and which ones didn't. His objective was to find a place devoid of as much life as possible, again, just to prevent people from getting caught up in his training or harmed from it. Attention from the outside world was something the Saiyan wanted to avoid as much as possible, still. The world wasn't ready for a Saiyan to walk in public shamelessly again. Not right now, at least. The next island Jorey would find habitable enough for him to plop down on was much closer to the coast of South City. It was so close that Jorey could actually see it in the distance. Of course, it was still too far to really see any figures in the distance, whether it be at any of the beaches or in the city. This would be a decent place. It was devoid of sentient life, had plenty of trees, a running river going through it, and was pretty quiet. "Aight, so this time, let's try not to completely wreck this place before I find another training island."
The Saiyan descended onto the island, facing back towards the mainland. He walked over to the coast of the island and sat down on his tail, holding himself up a couple feet in the air. All he did at this point in time was stare in the distance. He tried to feel every single energy level all the way in the distance, but there weren't many that interested him. For the most part, they were average Earthlings. It would be very easy to just kill them all, reduce any problems of people seeing a Saiyan like him running around as much as possible. However, in the end, Jorey knew that would overall do more harm to him than good. It was annoying, especially more so now that he was feeling so many different emotions inside him, facing so many different concepts he never once before paid any mind to. Hope, compassion, regret, guilt, and so many other emotions and concepts plagued the once cold-hearted Saiyan. He usually wasn't like this, but ever since meeting Ayu, he's been changing subtly. Slowly and surely, Jorey was becoming someone different. How would this affect him? Would he end up becoming a better person? Would this become a detriment to his strength, his progress in his training? He wasn't sure, but he knew one thing for certain. Honestly, all of this change didn't feel so bad. Word Count: 1,034

"Foolishness. Is rushing in blind all you can do?"
While appearing to be speaking to some sort of other individual, Calot's words had actually been directed toward the very same boat that now came in the direction of the underwater Saiyan himself, its obnoxiously loud airhorn blaring an incessant clamor that ruined the calm tranquility once held by the concentrating crossbreed in the midst of his meditation time. He enjoyed the tropics of this planet for that very reason- a mildly warm yet not overly humid climate accompanied by the seaside right next to him to provide that nice and refreshing ocean air that he needed whenever things got a little too hot for him. But, of course, with every apparent safe haven came its supposed problems, and the Earthlings and their stupidly large cruise ships clearly concocted to compensate for a lack of certain somethings just so happened to be a very large part of aforementioned problems with this particular location.
Part of him regretted moving away momentarily from his set up in the Bamboo Forest all the way back up East, but seeing as his body was already feeling the aftereffects of the (forcefully given) care from Ayu, the hybrid thought it best to get back on the road for a bit. He was never one to sit still on his quest toward greater power, and every minute spent elsewhere dawdling about meant another minute not used to potentially better himself.
Clearly, however, he was going to have to move his little operation elsewhere anyways, as it appeared to be nearing the afternoon time, wherein most larger transport cruisers and even simple tourist ships began to make their ways through this piece of heavily traffic seas.
Reopening his eyes for the first time in what seemed like hours (he had been spending his time since morning mentally refocusing his initially still messy Ki signature from his first serious fight several days prior), Calot looked around at the suddenly much brighter surroundings accompanying him. Exhaling, he reached to his side, picking up his sheathed blade and returning it to his hip as he stretched out for a moment or two, casting a calculative gaze upon the surroundings islands nearest to him. Only to take note of something quite peculiar as he did.
One of the islands that had been relatively untouched by human hands now appeared to be mangled beyond disbelief. When did that happen? Yes, there were times when Calot's own sizable strength leaked out from within the more mentally straining meditative states that he's been known to undergo following more fiercer conflicts, but he was more than sure that even his type of power would remain relegated to the island that he remained upon currently. And even then, as he took a glance at his more immediate surroundings as a measuring stick, the environment of his own island remained completely unharmed. So it could not have been something of his own doing that ripped apart the island so vigorously.
Glaring at the sight, believing it to have been the work of some hotshot martial artist with an itchy trigger finger, Calot seemed quite content with leaving it at that and returning to his mental re-gauging. At least, he would have been if the presumed cause of the island's state itself hadn't made their appearance nearly right on top of him before he could.
Gripping the sheath of his blade, the now ever curious conglomerate stared at the other side of the island proper, where he could now sense, besides all the weaker, unimportant human signatures, a power level greater than what he had ever encountered in his life before. It was both exciting yet concerning, that someone besides his own noble blood could for one get to such a level, and two, was standing basically a small two minute flight away from him right at this very moment. Taking the time to feel it out properly, the energy itself did not appear to be inherently malicious- if anything, at worst, it could be considered misguided. And seeing as his curiosity has already been properly piqued, Calot believed he could potentially benefit from anything this inherently more powerful being could give to him, in regards to how they had gotten to such an incredible level of strength.
So, after dusting himself off of the sand that had come up and upon him amidst his meditation, Calot blasted off toward the other side of the island, taking no time at all to eventually touch down a hundred yards or so from the source of his curiosity. Standing up from his landing posture, a slightly confused eyebrow would be raised at the sight that was laid out before him- as it appeared to be another individual of at least partially Saiyan heritage now posted up in front of him.
Walking at a leisurely pace, the hybrid began to close the distance between the two as he looked the other young man up and down, taking due note of his clearly younger appearance. Fascinating, and slightly frustrating, how someone of younger stature could already come to eclipse the older man's power by such a large margin, and by potentially more as well if he was the type of warrior able to fluctuate their strength at will.
Once only a few yards away from the other Saiyan, the half and half one spoke up, gesturing toward his odd present posture as he said, "Is this some type of Earthling training posture that I am simply unaware of yet? Or one taken from our home-world itself?"
...Needless to say, he was not particularly good at small talk or anything of the like. He knew was he was here for and he would be damned if he didn't get it, so Calot always preferred to get to the point.

Where to even start training was beyond this particular Saiyan at this point in time. The underwater training he wanted to commence would go a lot better this time around, away from the cruise ship, but he didn't know if it'd circle back around and interrupt him. It would probably be better to just kill time training the way he usually did. At that point, he could broaden his arsenal of techniques. That would probably be a good idea. His time alone wouldn't be spent too long, well, alone. Another power level was nearby, and Jorey could sense it. It was much stronger than a normal human's but much weaker than his true power. Additionally, it was very familiar. There was a sense of warmth and familiarity in it that beckoned the Saiyan to come closer. In response, he turned around and saw a man standing there, presumably older than him. In fact, the man seemed to be very close in age to Jorey. There was, yet, something more interesting about him. Jorey turned around completely, getting off his tail and facing the newcomer. He had a very interesting Gi on, which almost made the Saiyan jealous of how cool he looked. Here he was, plainly standing there with a dark blue training suit and black gloves and boots. Well, there was also Ayu's pale green handkerchief on his left wrist. That definitely added some more color and individuality in his life. Then, there was the spiky hair, the aggressive look, a sword at the man's side within a sheathe, and a tail. No doubt about it, this man had to be a Saiyan as well. However, there was something different about him. Jorey could sense another energy mingling inside of him, along with the Saiyan energy. It reminded him of Maycair, but the man looked nothing like Maycair in appearance. It made the Saiyan smile in response to the question he posed for him. In response, Jorey crossed his arms and spoke with a sly smirk on his face. "Neither. I came up with it myself. Adds a little bit of Saiyan flair, if I do say so myself."
The Saiyan boasting his said "Saiyan flair" paused for a moment, looking the new Saiyan up and down, studying his appearance. There really wasn't much to study, except one thing kept calling his attention and gaze: the sword in his hand. Jorey had never seen or heard of a Saiyan brandishing a sword. If you were to get strong enough, you could break any metal, stone, rock, or material in existence. It seemed more like a detriment than an advantage. Yet, maybe the reason why this man carried one around with him is because of his demonic heritage, if it turned out he was a Demon-Saiyan hybrid. Jorey didn't know enough about demonic heritage to really know if there was any other lingering power behind them. He did know Maycair had a unique transformation other than her Oozaru form, if she had one, because of her demonic lineage. However, she carried no such artifact or tool as a sword. Maybe this man derives his power from the sword? Maybe it's there for show? Either way, it was very interesting and appealing to Jorey. It felt very edgy, and this pureblood Saiyan liked edgy. It provoked another interaction from the pureblood, his mouth opening up once more to address the elephant in the room. "We're the same, you and I..."
The Saiyan chuckled a bit, every single Saiyan flashing before his mind in a split second after he said that. There was Quash, Athren, Zerori, and Maycair that he'd met, and another Saiyan named Callion that Liari and Quash spoke of. He could only imagine that since he's meeting more and more each day, that there are many others that he doesn't know about yet still on this planet. Hmph, and them.
After his brief pause, he continued on, addressing the other elephant in the room. "Though I suspect you carry something different from the others."
It was a very vague statement, but he'd hoped he got his point across. He knew this man was a Saiyan, as that man also knew he was. However, he also felt another energy inside him, and knew he wasn't just Saiyan. Jorey would then state the obvious, after uncrossing his arms and holding a hand out, gesturing to the hybrid himself. "You're a Saiyan, too. Nice to see others of our kind around here. But, you got some other kinda energy in you, too, don't ya?"
Jorey would put his hand back down. His smile never faded from his face. Seeing another Saiyan was always a good sign and an interesting event. When he first met Athren, he was the same way. However, after the events at Orange City, he became wary of other people, especially other Saiyans. He reacted negatively when he first met Quash one-on-one, suspecting him of trying to turn him into the Earth's authorities for what they did at the unfortunate city. He was proven wrong, and now, he was back to the way he was before about meeting Saiyans. Maycair and this new man weren't any exceptions. The Saiyan edge lord Jorey put his hands on his hips, his smile prominent as ever, and asked a couple more questions. Nothing too intrusive, more so curious. "That some demonic power inside you, by any chance? I've met some others like you, both Demon and Saiyan, so the energy feels kinda familiar. Just wanna try my hand at tryna guess what exactly you are."
Oh, where were this Saiyan's manners! Jorey always made an effort of introducing himself as soon as he could to someone, as long as he was comfortable around them. He wanted to get formalities out of the way as quickly as possible, knowing damn well that even if this guy turned out to be the king of Hell, he wouldn't call him "my liege" or "your highness" ever. It was more so a way of Jorey getting to know who he was dealing with. This was outside his work, which he wasn't sure he wanted to continue doing at this point. When he was on duty, he couldn't care less about getting to know people. "I'm Jorey, by the way. I was born on Vegeta, but I find myself here now. Nice cozy little planet, am I right?"

Choosing to ignore a good amount of the drivel being spouted from the other man's mouth for the time being, Calot decided to focus in on something the Saiyan sitting opposite of him had that intrigued him more than whatever he would be able to say or mention. His eyes zeroing in on the aforementioned green handkerchief that now hung from his left wrist. Something about it screamed some sort of familiarity to it, as though he had come across something like it so recently in his past. Yet, he simply couldn't put his finger on it...
...After enamoring himself with the item of interest, and making due note to inquire about its origin later, if their interaction even went on for that long without boring the Demon Saiyan back to the underworld along with the rest of the damned and destitute, Calot re-inserted himself back into the conversation proper, eyes finally refocusing on the individual in front of him as he caught the latter end of his first few phrases of peacocking, something about Saiyan flair, or, whatever foolishness he believed their people inherently had within them. He was not one to worry about his self-image, and how he projected himself to others, so the need for flair and style was lost on a straightforward individual such as he. It seemed to mean a lot to him, though, as he crossed his arms and flexed his physique to the unimpressed fellow countryman.
Slowly, yet surely, however, the stranger seemed to catch on to the fact that the very same Saiyan blood ran through both of their veins, and when that little lightbulb clicked in his assuredly darkened mind, the younger man couldn't help but make the comparison post haste. As though getting something like this was rare for a man of his mental ability.
An amused expression bloomed onto the fellow hybrid's features as Jorey proclaimed that they were one and the same, he and him. A statement forcing a bit of a chuckle from the other hybrid's senior as he spoke in a corrective manner, "You must be mistaken, kinsman. While we may share the same blood, there remains no being on any plane of existence that is like me."
"I commend your confident nature, however misplaced it may be. It has been too long since someone of hybrid nature openly carried themselves with a modicum of poise upon their person. Most I've met seem to be twisted, and mangled in both mental and physical fortitude, and it has been increasingly tiring to deal with. And you also may claim the privilege of being the first man melded from Demon and Saiyan union that I have seen excluding myself. Though I doubt you hold the same noble blood that now courses through my veins."
He supposed the questioning, while still being teased in full force, wasn't misguided. Man made amalgamations like Ayu and Kimi did exist, so he presumed that Jorey must have had one or two many negative experiences with their kind as well in order to have garnered such an, oddly obvious, course of questioning from him. And seeing as he seemed the sociable type, Calot assumed experiences with other individuals were not something that he was lacking in. They were two opposite sides of the very same coin, and while his voice and choice in vernacular were somewhat grating on his hearing, it wasn't enough (at this point anyways) to start completely cursing his company.
He was sure that he had time for one more game, at the very least. After all, they did share the same blood, for better or for worse.
Staring at the hand that was now offered toward him, his own hands twitched slightly, as though they themselves had minds of their own that found the thought of making contact with the fellow crossbreed utterly detestable for a man of his stature. So, instead, Calot nodded sagely toward Jorey, stating as his chin remained held relatively up over the other man's person, "You may call me Calot, son of Tirisfel. I too was born and raised on Vegeta, however, even the great warrior race's homeworld exhausted its usefulness eventually. I hope Earth doesn't do the same all too quickly. Although, seeing as someone like you has been able to heighten your strength to respectable levels, I expect nothing less than the same for myself."
Despite not necessarily meaning to, how the humans say, downplay, his current company, it would be understandable if Jorey became at least slightly irritated at the seemingly haughty nature that Calot naturally carried himself with. Though, could one blame him?
It had been sixteen years since he had lost his family, and sixteen years he had spent without any meaningful relationships being crafted for him to find either comfort or enjoyment within. That meant over a decade and a half without knowing how to act around people properly, and he was only just getting around to wrapping his head around how people and all those fickle things worked.
Not that he really wanted to know, but, for power's sake he had to.
Yes, only for power's sake. Regaining his senses, and returning again to the conversation at hand, and why he had even bothered to give this random whoo-hoo pizza looking man the time of day, Calot gestured toward him with sheathed sword in hand, an eyebrow raised in questioning as he spoke in a similarly inquisitive tone, "Where is your motivation...? Motivation for being here, that is. Normally, most of our countrymen remained close to the motherland, so why are you any different? Perhaps you're here for the same reason as I am? Are you also here to gain more power?"
If Jorey held any information on the whereabouts to gain further strength, by battle or by brotherhood he would claim it from him. While he may be here for the sights and so claimed coziness of the planet they stood upon, Calot remained here for one reason and one reason only.
He, needed, more, power.

This Saiyan in front of Jorey stood much taller than him. Not surprising, considering almost everyone the pureblood has met so far has been taller than him, save a few exceptions. Plasma and Zero and his brother were shorter, obviously due to their Changeling genes. Whatever Plasma had inside him, whether it was Frieza Race DNA or not, made him naturally shorter. Ayu was also someone who was shorter than the Saiyan, being she was an Earthling and on average Saiyans stood taller than Earthlings. It would be a serious problem if Jorey actually cared about height, considering that many others were leagues above him in that department. Regardless, the individual in front of Jorey had a look of regality towards him. No, not regality. There was something else about him entirely that the aforementioned word couldn't entirely explain. Confidence didn't come that much closer, either. He looked like the kind of guy that would put himself on top of others, and not in the sexual kind of way. It was almost like the guy strived to be at the top and cared only for that. Did he have some sort of a superiority complex? While the man in front of Jorey insisted that there was no one on this plane of existence that was like him entirely, it seemed highly unlikely that was true. The man himself may not have known yet, but Jorey himself had met other people who are both Saiyan and Demon. One for certain, he met not too long ago. However, there were others that he had met and doesn't know is both Saiyan and Demon, on account of not being able to sense Ki at the time he met them. Now, there were four that he encountered in total, only two that he'd remember being of both descents. Again, maybe he just hadn't met them yet, but there are other people out there that share the same exact blood as him. Jorey wondered if there was a difference in what kind of demon they were. Is there only one type of demon, or are there multiple types of demons like there are multiple species of animals? Answers to those questions weren't going to come around by doing nothing and without asking. It seemed that the other Saiyan with Jorey would misunderstand what Jorey was saying. He assumed that he too was also Demon and Saiyan. Unfortunately, Jorey shared no such demonic blood with this man. Only the Saiyan part of them remained to be similar. It would be wise to clear up that misunderstanding as soon as possible. Jorey put his hands up as if he was pumping his own breaks, chuckling a little bit before he started responding to the man's statements. "Woah, hold your horses there, bud. I'm a Saiyan, through and through, but ain't got no demon blood in me. I'm not special like you are. I only just met another one like you not too long ago. This here 'confidence' you see comes from my pure blood. Call it...'pride,' if anything."
The man would go on to introduce himself. Calot was his name. That definitely sounded very Saiyan, so it was no wonder that he was born on Vegeta as Jorey was. However, Calot didn't really seem one bit Saiyan other than in appearance and in his energy. He seemed to be proud, but not necessarily as proud as a Saiyan would be. He held himself up in high regards, but it didn't feel like it was due to his heritage and history on Vegeta. It would be the same for Jorey, since he tried to abandon his teachings and memories on Vegeta. However, that didn't work out too well for himself. Now, he struggled to accept who he truly was. Despite that, Jorey's pride was definitely a different pride than Calot's. It wasn't like it was a bad thing, but it was definitely something Jorey would have to make note of. In response to Calot's mention of Vegeta and Earth, Jorey crossed his arms and looked up and to the left, as if he was trying to look inside his head and pick his brain for answers. "Well, I wouldn't say training here on Earth would make anything anymore 'useful.' But, truth be told, there's a lotta strong guys here that's just itching to kick ass, and I was one of those who would get my ass kicked a few times. If you were to ask me, snoozing around and missing out on these fights won't do you any good. You should look around, find some strong guys to train with. You're missing out on all the fun, otherwise! A fight every now and then does make life a little more interesting, don't ya think?"
Calot may have an issue with seeing himself above people, or maybe he has an issue where he wants to see himself above everyone in stature or power? That didn't matter much to Jorey, and he would grow to get used to it, at least for the time being. It seemed like demons had some sort of confidence or haughty nature to themselves. Maycair was the same way when Jorey first met her, but that might have also been because he provoked her into fighting him so he could get some training in. One thing was for certain, Calot acknowledged Jorey's strength, and he even seemed to admire it. Getting to this level wasn't easy in the slightest. Getting acknowledgement from someone, even if they were weaker than him, was enough to make Jorey feel proud of the effort he'd been putting in lately. Yes, even if he had been getting his ass handed to him and even if he'd been going through his own emotional and moral journey, he was still proud of his progress. That was when Calot asked the pureblood a question he wasn't expecting to be asked: where was his motivation? The question made Jorey raise an eyebrow at his Demon-Saiyan counterpart, confused as to what he was trying to get at. Calot would then clarify himself and continue pressing on for an answer. Truth be told, Jorey didn't have an exact answer to his questions. He didn't know why he was still here on Earth, or what exactly served as his purpose to continue getting stronger. Of course, the main reason why he wanted to get stronger right now was because of Liari. It wouldn't do good to rematch against her without getting stronger in the first place. However, what if the threat of Liari is eliminated? Of course, he's going to want to get stronger, but why would he keep wanting to get stronger? The Saiyan paced back and forth a bit, a hand on his chin as he thought about an acceptable answer to give to his company. "Well, to be honest, I'm not entirely sure why I'm still here. I shoulda been dead a long time ago, and here I am, still alive and kicking. I guess...the reason why I'm here is 'cuz I have nowhere left to go."
Jorey would put his arms back down, crossing them once more, and continuing to answer Calot's question. "As of right now, I'm tryna get stronger to rematch someone I lost to. Other than that, I guess my motivation lies with the people I care about. It's not about loss. Strength is a choice. Fighting like hell to protect what's important. The people I care about, that's what's important right now."
Jorey would uncross his arms once more, turning and addressing the same question to Calot. "What about you, then, Calot? Where is your motivation for being here?"
